The Community Carpooling Association has a mission to encourage carpooling in Australia as a safe and effective way  of travelling for anyone who wants to save money, meet new people and reduce their carbon footprint while travelling to work or study.

Each Community Carpooling site is supported by a responsible Australian local council, company or organisation or group of participating organisations.

It takes two minutes for members to join the network and the database will search and match members with other people travelling in the same direction. The carpool schemes are offered online via website and free mobile app for Android, iPhone.

CCAI supports various carpool schemes across Australia using a comprehensive carpooling system built in Australia by Prosentient Systems for councils, companies and organisations, designed and tested utilising user-centred design methodology, to achieve maximum simplicity and ease of use by carpoolers. The applications come with effective management functions, including a built-in content management system, template based, giving the owner complete control over information on the website.
